Tyke-Tags - How it came about

Isn't it strange how manufacturers accept and persist with uneconomical, time-consuming, frustrating and outdated practices just because "we've always done it that way". We used to tie knots too.. Knots on carrier bags, knots on calendars, knots on pattern books and fancy box cords.

Oh yes... we had years of experience tying knots ! But... our knots came undone, wouldn't lie flat and we used a lot more cord than was necessary. Also, when we weren't looking, the cord would fray !

And just like you, we thought there must be a better way...... and there is. So hence, we started Tyke-Tags.

Tyke-Tags - The Beginning

Tyke-Tags was founded in 1997 by people with experience in the print and pattern book industries who felt that the time had come for an automatic cord tagging service. They found out exactly what manufacturers wanted by talking to them and working closely with them to produce a fast, economical and reliable service that took the knots out of the making up process....

And the knots were replaced by Tyke-Tags.
